This refers to conducting background check on different social media platforms. As there is different potential issues in conducting such check, extreme care shall be in place thus hiring a third-party background check vendor to handle such process and filter any non-job-related content or information that could lead to issues in discrimination and human rights would be very vital. As a best practice, only job-related inforamtion shall be reported and being reviewed and presented to employers.
